What we do with your data, with no fine print.
RootBiz is a small business in Utah. We collect the minimum needed to answer you and do the work, we never sell data, and here we tell you exactly who else touches it.
In short
- We only collect what you give us: your name, business, phone, email and what you write to us.
- We never sell or rent your data.
- This site uses no tracking cookies, third-party analytics or advertising pixels.
- On WhatsApp an automated assistant may answer first; you can always ask for a person.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to [email protected].
1Who is responsible
RootBiz, based in West Valley City, Utah, United States. For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected] or on WhatsApp at (801) 871-5364.
2What data we collect and where it comes from
- Contact form on this site: your name, your business name, phone or WhatsApp, email, what you are interested in, your approximate budget and your message. The form is delivered by Formspree to our email.
- WhatsApp: your number, your profile name and the messages we exchange, including any images or files you send.
- If you become a client: what the contract, invoicing and the work require: business address, billing details, your logo and the materials you share with us.
- When you browse the site: basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) generated by the server for security. We use no tracking cookies, third-party analytics or advertising pixels.
- Fonts: the site's typefaces load from Google Fonts; when they do, your browser sends your IP address to Google.
3What we use it for
- Answering you and following up on what you asked.
- Preparing proposals, quotes and the free mockup of your brand.
- Delivering the service you hired, invoicing and collecting payment.
- Meeting legal obligations, such as bookkeeping and taxes.
- Improving how we serve people, by looking in general at what gets asked most.
We do not build profiles of people or make automated decisions with legal effects on you. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4The automated WhatsApp assistant
When you message RootBiz on WhatsApp, an automated assistant powered by artificial intelligence may answer first. We tell you up front because we would rather you know:
- The assistant runs on RootBiz's own server in Utah. Your messages are not sent to any outside AI service.
- It only replies to people who message us first. It never starts conversations and never sends advertising.
- Conversations are stored on our server so we can follow up, and a member of the team receives an internal notification (via Telegram) with your message and number in order to help you.
- You can ask for a person at any time, and if the assistant is not sure about something, it says so and hands you over to someone.
- If you no longer want us to write to you, tell us in the same chat or at [email protected] and we will stop.
WhatsApp is a Meta service and processes your messages under its own privacy policy.
5Who we share it with
Nobody we do not need in order to operate. These are the providers that touch your data, what for, and where each one's policy lives:

The local printers and suppliers we produce your merch with receive only what the order needs: your logo and the quantities. We would share data with an authority only if the law requires it.
We never sell or rent your data, and we never hand it to anyone for their own advertising.
6How long we keep it
- For as long as we have an open inquiry or a working relationship with you.
- WhatsApp conversations and form submissions that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months, or sooner if you ask.
- Invoices and accounting records: as long as tax law requires, normally 7 years.
7How we protect it
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), protected servers of our own, backups encrypted before they leave our equipment, and access limited to whoever is handling your case. No system is infallible; if anything were to happen to your data, we would let you know.
8Your rights
At any time and at no cost, you can ask us for:
- A copy of the data we hold about you.
- A correction of anything that is wrong.
- Deletion of your data, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, invoices).
- That we stop writing to you.
Write to [email protected] or on WhatsApp. We answer the same business day and resolve it within 30 days at most. Asking never changes how we treat you.
9Minors
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you think it happened, let us know and we will delete it.
10Where it is processed
Our servers and providers are in the United States. If you write to us from another country, your data is processed here.
11Changes to this policy
If anything important changes, we update the date above and say so on the site. The version published here is always the current one.
